KeymasterHey everyone welcome to this new website forum. I really hope you like it?
We’ve put a bunch of work into making it easy to use and looking nice. What do you think about the design?
But there are definitely some things we can improve on to make it work better. We want to add more categories so we can sort things by regions, issues, and other things. We want to make it prettier to share links so they come up with a picture like they do on Facebook.
Are there other features you want? More things to make it more like social media? Different kinds of information?
Did you find any bugs? Or its too difficult to log in? (you can start a new topic to discuss these things too).
Let me know what you think and I’ll use my best hacker skills to try and make it happen

KeymasterHey Reuben, Possible to include “Forums” at the top of the site, alongside Groups, Our Community etc.? Also wondering about the “Our Community” posts and whether we try to shift personal comments to the NASH private forum? Or just let it go and advise the group that we’re going to expand the trial and therefore they should remove anything they don’t want others to view. Thanks, Kobi

KeymasterHi Kobi! Great idea. I’ve added that link to the header menu. And you’ll see down the bottom now we also have links to ‘Our Community’ and recent replies.
We also now have a Privacy Policy and a ‘Code of Conduct‘. So play nice OK? 😜
Yes that’s a good idea, I’ve moved the ‘personal’ updates we had made so far into the NASH group.
But you’ll see if you go to ‘My Profile’ that you can still post an update just about yourself. Is that confusing and weird? Or could it still be a useful feature?

KeymasterI also wanted to thank @mariechase-sillars here for helping me fix an issue with the Facebook login 🙏. Hopefully its working smoothly now?
So I also added this thing so you can write @someonesname eg @kobi-maglenoldertenants-org-au and it will automatically link to their username, kinda like it does on twitter.

KeymasterThanks Reuben. I also received some feedback from Frances via messages. Passing the tech questions on: “I noticed you can only add one URL per post , or is it me ? I,m a bit of an old luddite.. not really an issue I guess as its not hard to do separate posts. I did also want to attach a PdF document for which I couldn’t find the URL but couldn’t find a way to do this.”

KeymasterThanks for feedback @francesevery 🙏
What was the PDF you wanted to upload? We could add a thing to allow attachments if it would be useful? But I’m just careful not to add too many buttons, it could get too confusing!
What happened when you tried to post two links? Did the reply disappear? Or maybe was it using the link button (the chain icon) above the reply box?

KeymasterITS ALIVE !!! 🧟🧟🧟
This site has now moved to its forever home at houseonfire.oldertenants.org.au
I think everything should work even faster here.
Let me know if there are still any issues,
but feel free to share and get it out there! @kobi-maglenoldertenants-org-au - July 15, 2021 at 4:32 am #727

KeymasterHI Reuben,
I don’t think there is the option to insert docs or links within the group discussion. Could this be added? Or did I miss something? Thanks, Kobi

KeymasterHi Kobi – I hadn’t added an upload documents link.
I’m a little bit cautious to add too many buttons, also a little bit cautious about spammers/viruses.
So let’s try out this compromise – forum moderators now get this add media link above the comment box. People who aren’t moderators only get the little image icon on the right which only allows image uploads (jpg, png, gif).
Do you think that might solve the issue? What kind of things do you think people will want to upload, other than images?
