Hello, homelessness and housing affordability for older women was a hot topic on ABC Q&A 2021 Budget Special!https://iview.abc.net.au/video/NC2104H014S00 It was a great discussion prompted by a question from the audience, a woman in Canberra with lived experience.

All federal politicians on the panel – Jane Hume (Liberal), Jaquie Lambie (Independent), Jim Chalmers (ALP), Larissa Waters (Greens).

In his budget reply speech, Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese committed to some funding for public housing including some specifically for women, if they form government after the next election. It’s great to have housing on the federal agenda, and I think opens opportunities for lobbying!
